I feel compelled to share the wretched details... Recently discovered letters between a scarcely closeted homosexual and his scarcely lucid aunt reveal the scandalous goings-on of Butterbrooke Breeze and its amusingly deviant dwellers. Long discarded missives in a well forgotten attic comprise the book you hold in your eager fingers. Epistles shared between a scarcely closeted homosexual and his scarcely lucid aunt capture the day-to-day gossip of Butterbrooke Breeze, an English country estate set for scandal. What has been unearthed is shocking to anyone primed to be shocked. Sebastian Wentworth Greathead (pronounced Grey-Theed) and his dear aunt, Countess Cordillia Honeyknob Pryme, have much to say by way of countryside slander. Poor Sebastian is harassed by an avid butterfly fan, while Countess devotes her love to a meringue-based dessert. Wallow in the everyday theatrics of Butterbrooke as well as the ne'er-mentioned adventures of a favorite nephew at various foreign ports of call. Of course, all is not sunshine and flowers at Butterbrooke Breeze. This simple post-Edwardian depiction of innocent rompings is in actuality a dark reflection of the corrosion of consciousness and the sins of excess. No matter; the letters of Sebastian and the countess teem with innuendo, satire, and irreverence, and yet their words charm to the last decadent drop.

The Pavlovas of Butterbrooke Breeze: A Most Curious CorrespondenceFrom Gayle Marsh:
Adderly Harp transported me to one of my favorite eras and kept me transformed with delight from cover to cover. I found that the characters in this truly delightful book to be entertaining and I cared for them as if they were my closest of friends. I longed to join them in their daily lives and was very sad to see the correspondence come to an end. It is a tragedy that there is not more literature of the quality found in the pages of Butterbrook Breeze. I will wait expectantly and eagerly for Adderly’s next gift to us. Please don't make us wait too long.

The Pavlovas of Butterbrooke Breeze A Most Curious Correspondence Adderly Harp 9781604948462 Books Reviews
I am a personal friend of the author of this amazing book!!! Once I started reading it, I could not put it down & found myself laughling out loud frequently throughout the book. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS BOOK! IT WILL MAKE A WONDERFUL STOCKING-STUFFER!!!
a fabulously funny book by mr harp. I loved It very much. And Im considering buying a couple of more copies for friends. Just loved The corrospondance between aunt cordilla And Her nephew sebby, just cant stop laughing. This book comes very highly recommended. Thank You mr harp.
After the first few letters between aunt and nephew I was hooked! Clever writing, delicious digs, and amusing banter! Loved the characters names!
There is nothing more gratifying than a hearty laugh attack.
This book had me grinning and laughing throughout.
The writing is filled to the brim with gut-wrenchng cathartic laughs.
Forget these otherwise drear times we find ourselves in today and
time-travel back 100 years where life was more delicate and refined
than a three-tiered plate of Pavlovas.
I experienced uncontrollable, convulsive, spasmodic fits of laughter.
My nasolabial folds were in a constant state of being stretched far beyond what is considered appropriate in polite society. If you dare to read this book on a plane or other public conveyance, prepare yourself for being escorted off
by the authorities.
I loved this book. Harp's language is amazing, and the characters are just wonderful.
I'm giving it to my friends for Christmas.
I loved the book. It was a delightful read. The main characters had a manner of wit and humor that one could appreciate. Definitely a fun read!
